Clonie Gowen

Clonie (real name Cycalona) Gowen was born on November 30th, 1971 in Florida, USA.

She is currently based in Dallas and it is there that she was originally introduced to poker, by her boyfriend's father. Her desire for the game meant she had to drive to Shreveport in Louisiana at the weekend just to find a game.

Finding she had a natural talent for the game she had become a consistent winner, in 2003 she had both a top ten finish in the Costa Rica Classic event of the World Poker Tour and soon after found herself winning the WPT Ladies Night event, beating the likes of fellow professional player Annie Duke.

As well as playing for the Full Tilt Poker team (who are endorsed by Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson amongst others) she regularly commentates on poker events around the world. Events such as the Gaming Club WPC, Ultimate Poker Challenge and the Women's Poker Open. You can also read her regular column in All In magazine discussing various aspects of the poker game.

Currently Clonie is heavily involved in helping other people to learn the skilled game of poker, hosting tournaments and charity events with the aim of developing a new generation of fantastic tournament players.
